The quotation appears in Newton's column, "In Defense of Self-Defense" in The Black Panther issue from 20 June 1967.

[With:] 23 x 17 7/8 in. transparency featuring a largely silhouetted bust portrait of Huey Newton, with portions of text visible within the portrait referencing "student mobilization" at Kent State University.
